6004-2RS Hybrid Ceramic Si3N4 Bearings

$94.99

6004-2RS is used: in the Polaris sleds on the rear bogey wheels, in BRP/Lynx rear wheels, and Ice Age Hellfire wheels + others.

Price is per bearing, for a set order 2. 6004-2RS Bearings Made from pure Si3N4 Silicone Nitride. Unleash extras HP from your machine!

Dollar for dollar one of the highest performing modifications you can do to your sled. These bearings will unleash free horsepower in your sled, without modification. Ceramic bearings are not new technology, they have been used for decades in the highest levels of motorsport and wherever the absolute best bearings are demanded.

We have also increased the “clearance spec” in our bearings from C0 (standard bearing spec) to C3 (upgraded spec for axial loads and impacts). The reason for this is snowmobiles take a lot of loads axially especially in the bogey wheels. This is why you see lots of bearings blown out of rear wheels. The greater clearance spec allows more flex and load to be applied before the bearing takes damage.

Examples include turbocharger bearings, wind generators, & engine crank bearings in race engines.

The ceramic material is extremely hard, and able to be made in a way that ensures perfectly smooth surfaces and perfectly round bearing spheres even on a microscopic level. HIP is a process that takes an already durable and hard ceramic and amplifies it’s molecular structure to a higher level. HIP-treated silicon nitride is 1000% harder than tool steel or stainless steels. It is excellent for taking impacts and resisting deformation under the world’s harshest conditions. The HIP process is usually reserved for drill bits, ultra-precise cutting tools, and Formula 1 bearings.

In snowmobiles, I have never pulled a bearing from a machine that wasn’t noticeably worn or clearly rusted. Steel bearings, when brand new can rob up to 10hp in parasitic loss from your machine. After a few days between the warm and cold extremes, moisture inevitably enters steel bearings and creates immense heat and friction.

These bearings are the highest quality ceramic bearing available for the motorsport industry.
